About Champions for Kids

Champions for Kids is Arizona’s voice for students with disabilities. We are special education experts, professionals, family members, and parents challenging the status quo and demanding better.

As an Arizona nonprofit and Qualifying Charitable Organization (QCO #22877), we are providing parents, educators, decision-makers, and community stakeholders with a clear, data-driven picture of who these students are and how well Arizona’s education system is serving students with disabilities–and where urgent improvements are needed. How do our resources differ from national organizations?

National resources rely on the IDEA and ADA, which are certainly foundational to all disability protections, but our resources are strictly Arizona-specific, accounting for state-level statutes (A.R.S.), local district realities, and the specific case law that governs our schools. 

Our coalition is designed for anyone dedicated to protecting the rights and potential of students with learning differences, including parents, attorneys, researchers, and disability-related non-profits. 

Accessing the network during our inaugural launch comes at no cost. To ensure our public research remains open-access and uncompromised, we rely heavily on community backing and the Arizona tax credit rather than paywalls.  We are fully committed to keeping our core data tools accessible to those who need them most.
